SHO Z-S Photo is the official name of Shoshana Zambryski-Stachel and her artwork.

Shoshana was born and raised in Berkeley CA, where she graduated from Berkeley High School in 2008.  She continued on to NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where she pursued her passion for photography, receiving a BFA from the Photography & Imaging Department in 2012.

Since then, Shoshana has returned to the Bay Area to further her artistic life.  In the spring of 2014, she joined a blossoming new studio collective in Berkeley called TrainHole Studios. She creates much of her work at TrainHole, after having built a darkroom within the collective space.

Since 2015 Shoshana has been working on facilitating and developing community arts in East Oakland's Dimond District. As of September 2016, Shoshana is the proud owner, manager, curator, instructor and more at ArtVale Gallery. ArtVale is a community art practice and exhibition space, as well as a local art supply store.
